These Girls Love Pump It Up

Today, we went to Madi & Molli's birthday party at Pump It Up. I don't think Allie & Marlee will ever pass on a birthday invite to this place. We may have to start crashing parties here so they can go all the time.

Fun on the Slide

The girls were pretty daring on the slide today. Allie started it off by going down by herself. At first, Marlee wouldn't go unless her Grammy went down with her but after watching Allie she worked up the courage. She pretty much copied whatever Allie did so that meant sliding down on their stomachs. They loved it!!

Spring Valley Beach

Yesterday we decided to drive to Spring Valley Beach in Blountsville, which is similar to the water park at Alabama Adventure. We decided to go to Spring Valley since it is a little closer to home and a tad bit cheaper than Alabama Adventure. We had a great time even though Marlee still isn't sure about going in the water by herself. She went down a couple of the toddler slides but that was over with after she got a little water in her face. We may need to just stick with her baby pool for the rest of this summer.
We will be going to the beach in about a month with Bill, Jennifer & Allie and we can't wait. I'm sure Marlee and Allie will have a blast together playing in the sand.

One Day....But Not Too Soon!!

I snapped this picture after leaving the wedding yesterday at the church. One day, of course a long time from now, our little girl will get married. We pray that she will find her soul mate and that he is a man of God. Of course he will need to be able to put up with her as well, as it is looking like she will be a high maintenance woman!!
Today at church they honored the 2008 high school graduates. They had put together a video tribute showing pictures of each graduate from childhood up until now. This really made us realize how fast they grow up. Even though we didn't know any of the ones being honored Chris & I both teared up. I guess it's because we realized that one day our daughter would be up there and that it will be here sooner than we think. We will both be basket cases when that day comes.

2 Cutie Pies

Yesterday we had a wedding to go to in Huntsville. Here is a picture I took of Marlee & Meagan, Daryl & Christy's youngest, at the reception. I thought they looked so cute all dressed up for the wedding.

Marlee & Daddy

This is a picture I took of Marlee and Chris right outside of the Huntsville Art Museum yesterday. There is a lake and park beside the museum that is a really nice place for people to go and relax. There were lots of ducks, which Marlee was afraid of, and some huge fish in the lake. Check out the fish in the picture below.

Mother's Day & Marlee's Dedication

“All they children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children.” Isaiah 54:13
This past Sunday was a special day. Not only was it Mother's Day but it was the day we dedicated Marlee before our church to the will of God. We strive to raise her in the eyes of the Lord.
Chris & I have been blessed with wonderful mothers. They show their families so much love and do so much for everyone. We truly appreciate them for everything they do. For Mother's Day I got really sweet cards from the hubby & Marlee. Chris & I also had gone out to dinner on Friday night for a combo Mother's Day & Anniversary. Monday was our 7th Anniversary. Wow, time goes by so fast. Hopefully, we'll have many more happy years together.

Mother's Day Luncheon

Friday, Marlee's daycare had a Mother's Day Luncheon in honor of the mothers and grandmothers of all the children. Grammy & I were able to go and have lunch with her. They did a great job. The tables were decorated so cute. We had a card from Marlee on the table as well as a poem with her handprint. Also, the place mats on the table had her picture on them.
After the lunch, Marlee went home with her Grammy & Papa Hoot to spend the night. She had a blast with them as usual. Also, I have to post what Mom told me she did yesterday. They met me at Target yesterday so I could get Marlee. Mom said when they pulled in the parking lot that Marlee had her cell phone. Well Marlee got mad about something and threw the cell phone and hit Mom in the arm. Mom said she was ignoring her even when Marlee kept screaming Grammy. Well then Marlee decided to turn on the charm and started singing Jesus Loves Me. Mom couldn't resist her then since she sounded so sweet singing.

Afternoon at Mimi & Paw Paw's

Marlee got to visit with Mimi & Paw Paw today. She had a good time and wasn't ready to go home when it was time. Here are a few pics from the day.

Paw Paw Snoring

Paw Paw can fall asleep in his recliner at the drop of a hat. Today, while we were all in the living room talking Paw Paw fell asleep pretty quickly. He snores pretty loud and I don't guess Marlee has really ever heard anyone snoring before. She was looking at him with some of the funniest faces. It was hilarious!!
