Weagle Weagle - WDE

Here is a picture I took of Marlee before the game today. This is her new Auburn pillowcase dress that her Grammy bought for her.
Thanks to the AU defense for holding off the Vols and getting the victory for the team. Hopefully next week the offense will finally click and get it together. Now we just have to pull on those Georgia Bulldogs tonight over Bama.

Fun With The Big Girls

Jeff, Tonya, Hanna & Audrey came up to watch the AU/LSU game last night. Marlee was in awe of Hanna and Audrey and had so much fun playing with them. Even though our beloved Tigers lost we still enjoyed having them over to visit. The team will definitely have to practice hard this week and be ready to beat the Vols this next Saturday.

Guess Who's 3?

Yes, our baby girl turned 3 years old today. My how time flies by. It seems like only yesterday that God blessed us with her. She has continusally brought joy to our lives since the day she was born. Of course, that does not mean we don't have our moments because believe me we do. If she does make us mad we are usually laughing hysterically at her the next minute. We love you Marlee Bug!!

Sleeping Bag

Marlee got her first sleeping bag from her Grammy & Papa Hoot for her birthday. She does not stay in it very long yet but here is a quick pic I snapped of her and cow in it.

3rd Birthday Party Bash

Today is Marlee's actual birthday but we had her party this past Sunday. We had it at the place where she takes gymnastics and I believe all the kids had a great time. I know I had a lot of fun watching them. Thanks to all our family and friends for coming out to help us celebrate. We love you all!!

I'm so ready for this movie to come out!!

Yes, Nights in Rodanthe. I loved, loved, loved the movie The Notebook and this is from the same writer/producer. I'm sure it will be a good tearjerker which will definitely draw me in. I'm going to have to get some girls to go with me to see it because for some reason Chris isn't interested (could it be because it's a major chic flick??). He says he would rather spend nights in Blount County. He's real funny!!

Play Date with Braelyn

Since we were coming back from the beach on Wednesday I had decided that I would take the entire week of Labor Day off work. It would have been hard to go back Thursday after being at the beach. So, Thursday Marlee and I went to meet Kristin and Braelyn in Gardendale to eat lunch at Chick-fil-a and then to go play at the park. It has been such a long time since Marlee and Braelyn have seen each other so they were very excited to get to play.

She's Been Initiated

Marlee has been initiated by her mommy into riding go carts. You must ride go carts at least once when you make a trip to the beach. I am very serious and competitive when it comes to go cart racing. Chris is a dud because he never wants to ride so I always have to find someone else to race against.
We went to The Track on Monday night and I thought this time that she was big enough to ride with me in one of the double carts. She loved it!! She is definitley my daughter.

Marlee's Beach Boyfriend

Marlee met a little friend at the beach that she played with on Sunday and Tuesday. He was from Memphis so I guess this will be her first long distance relationship. She said he was her new boyfriend and that Tucker from daycare was no longer her man. I'm sure that won't be the case we she returns to school Monday. It will be back to Tucker.

Here's Chris having a talk with the new couple

Surfer Dad

After the storm the waves were still pretty big on Tuesday so Chris decided to use the boogie board they had at the house we rented. There were double reg flags and the beach patrol was driving up and down the beach warning people to stay out of the water. He's lucky he didn't get issued a citation but you can't tell the kid in him to stay out of the water.

Destin Beach Trip

We left last Sat. for Destin and came back Wednesday. We were hesitant about going a few days before we were due to leave thanks to Gustav but there was no backing out since we didn't purchase the travel insurance the rental company had pitched. I mean who ever thinks that you will really need travel insurance. Well, now I think it might not be such a bad thing to get in the future.
Before we left they had the track of the storm going more to the west of Destin but still had a lot of rain in the forcast. The weather ended up being pretty nice for a couple of days. We got out on the beach for most of the morning on Sunday and then were out there all day on Tuesday. The rain came in overnight on Sunday and it rained most of Monday until early afternoon. The water was very clear on Sunday, yucky on Monday after the storm and then clear and blue again on Tuesday. All in all it ended up being a pretty good trip. Guess we won't be back to the beach until next year.
