I tried a little photo shoot with Adalyn yesterday and this is the only good shot she let me get before she got fussy. Hope she'll cooperate more with a professional in a few weeks.

Wow...8 weeks already

I can't believe that our baby girl is now 8 weeks old and that I will have to go back to work in 2 weeks. That will definitely not be an easy thing to do. It will be good to know that her big sister will still be at the same school with her for a year and she can check in on her. Marlee's teacher lets them stop by the baby room on the way to the lunchroom so that the ones who have siblings can say hi.
Here are just a few recent pics. We went to Chris' parents this past weekend for a Memorial Day cookout and really enjoyed the time to visit. It's always nice to have extra hands to help out with Adalyn.

Sleepy Girls

Marlee and Noodles still snoozing the other morning. Every morning when I get up and get ready they just stay in bed and sleep. I'm hoping Adalyn will take after her big sis and big a late sleeper.

Mothers Day Luncheon

Here are a few pics from the Mothers Day Lunch at Marlee's school. I look forward to this every year because it is fun to see what they have made for us moms. This year they even made something for the grandmothers if they came to the luncheon. I think Grammy & MeMe were thrilled with their place mat. Marlee & Adalyn are blessed to have such wonderful grandmothers.

Proud Big Sister

Not that you can't tell from the pics but Marlee is so happy to be a big sister. She is so into all that is going on especially the diaper changes. She loves to pop open Adalyn's outfit and undo the diaper so I can put the new one on. It will be a lot of fun to watch these two grow up together.

Our Easter Blessing

Miss Adalyn Brooke wasn't due until 4/10 but she decided to make her debut on Easter Sunday, 4/4. What a wonderful day to celebrate our risen Savior and welcome our 2nd daughter into the world. We look forward to life with our 2 beautiful blessings from God!!
I also have to say Thank God for epidurals. I was not able to get one with Marlee which was unexpected but this time everything worked out (thanks to alot of prayers) and I got it. So this labor experience was definitely alot different from the first.

Big Sister Class

Here are some pics from the Big Sister class that Marlee went to at St. Vincents a few weeks ago. I guess now that she has had official training she is ready to be the best big sister she can be to Adalyn.

February 2010 Snow

This time they predicted snow and we actually got it. Here at our house we ended up with about 3 inches which was enough to get out and play in and build the snowmen that Marlee wanted so badly to build. Noodles loved playing in the snow as well. She had balls of snow hanging from her fur. She looked pretty funny.

Circus

We decided to try the circus this year. This is the first event we have paid to take Marlee to where you have to sit and be still. I wasn't sure how she would do but she did really well. We all enjoyed this family outing.

When the kids don't behave at Christmas gatherings just put them out in the pen with the dogs. This was at my parents house on Saturday for the Ingram Christmas get together. I think everyone in the family that owns a dog brought them and the kids just wanted to play out there with them the whole time. Of course, this is not even all the dogs in the picture. The little ones stayed in the house most of the time.

Our family gift from Santa this year was a Wii and we have really been enjoying it.

Christmas at Gran's

We traveled to Montgomery yesterday for our Christmas gathering at my grandad's house. We had a fun time eating lots of yummy food and visiting with family. One of the pics below is of Marlee holding Baby Matthew. She did so well with him. It was precious to see her interact with the baby. I only hope she is this sweet with her baby sister.

Gingerbread House

Last night we decorated our first ever gingerbread house. It was a family effort as Chris put the icing on the house and Marlee & I put the candies on. Now I'm hoping we can get our Christmas tree tomorrow.

Thanksgiving Trip

For Thanksgiving we traveled to the Mississippi coast to visit with Chris' dad & step-mom (Marlee's Papa & Kaki). We had a good time although we all ended up coming home all stuffy with the crud. Papa had saved up a ton of beads to give to Marlee and below are the pics of her when she had to put them all on. She looks like a gangster with her arms crossed.

Bike Riding With Allie

Yesterday we met the Bauer's at Cahaba Lily Park in Helena so the girls could play. They also brought their bikes and had a blast riding around the park together.

Ball Player in Training

Marlee is Papa Hoot's little ball player in training. He's even made Marlee her own ball bag. He really needs a grandson. We'll see if that's what we find out we're having tomorrow.

Marlee & Murph

Last weekend since Papa Hoot was out of town for softball Grammy & Murphy came to spend the night with us. This is a pic of Marlee snacking on some chips while watching the AU/GA game. Murphy was right there beside her watching every chip as it made its way to her mouth.

Festival Fun

Since our church festival was cancelled for Halloween due to the unpredictable weather forcast, we decided to head to Gardendale First Baptist for the one they have. We went to the same one 2 years ago and it is really a lot of fun for the kids. Marlee's friend Braelyn came as well and the girls had a blast riding the rides and playing games for candy. Marlee also saw her BFF from school, Sara Grace.
